Owned pets are released to their owners on the same day as surgery in the afternoon.

It is best to have your pet vaccinated before their surgery date to better prevent illness and avoid possible vaccine reactions the day of surgery. However, if you are unable to schedule shots before the surgery date, we do offer vaccines on the day of surgery.

Yes, all patients receive injectable pain medication prior to and after surgery, which will last for 24 hours. For rabbits, 3 days of additional pain medication is sent home with you from the clinic to give once a day. For dogs, 5 days of additional pain medication is sent home with you from the clinic to give once a day. For cats, 3 days of additional pain medication is sent home with you from the clinic to give twice a day.

One in three pets will become lost or stolen at some point in their life. Microchipped animals have a far greater chance of being reunited with their owners than those that are not chipped. Microchips are very small, about the size of a grain of rice, and cost less than a average month’s supply of food, yet can mean the difference of whether or not your pet is returned to you if lost. Dogs, cats and rabbits (Yes, pet rabbits are sometimes picked up as strays!) can all receive a microchip.

We do offer Medical Concern Office Visits for relatively minor ailments. We can diagnose and treat Upper Respiratory Infections, Urinary Tract Infections, Digestive disorders, ear infections, skin problems, and other illnesses. We do not have radiology equipment, so for injuries or illnesses requiring X-rays or ultrasounds you will need to consult a full service veterinary or specialty clinic.

We do offer Community Cat pricing of $35 for the spay or neuter surgery of cats who are strays or feral. Feral cats that are unused to human contact will need to arrive at our clinic in a humane trap, not a carrier or crate. Ear tipping is required to receive discounted pricing. A microchip is also ideal to help feral cats that may get picked up safely return to their home colony. More info on our community cat program can be found here.
